our history

Prior to starting One Source Sales & Marketing in 2008, Kasey worked for Oak Leaf Sales in Rosemont, IL.  Oak Leaf was a small brokerage company with a focus on non-food and specialty food products being sold to drug stores as well as supermarkets and distributors.  Kasey had the pleasure of learning how to run a brokerage business under Dick Spatafora, the owner of Oak Leaf Sales.  In 2008, Kasey purchased the specialty food brokerage business from Dick and opened up One Source Sales.  

Over the first couple years, Kasey worked the entire business on his own, which was overwhelming at times.  He managed to make it work by having great vendor partners that saw the value in a smaller company bringing focus to their brands.  As the business grew, Kasey's wife Tina began working  as an office administrator and customer service representative.  Her focus on all back office projects allowed Kasey to direct his efforts towards more growth.  In 2014, Phil Dalton joined the One Source team as a managing partner covering the southeast market.  Phil brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise within the industry.  In late 2014, David Keller and Jack Mansel joined One Source Sales.  David was brought in to cover the Chicago market; Jack was brought in to cover the Michigan and northern Ohio market.  

In late 2015, Brian Lechman joined One Source to develop a Rocky Mountain presence for some of our vendor partners.  Brian has been instrumental in helping us build not only the Rocky Mountain area, but Texas and Arizona as well.  Fast forward to 2019, we added Cathy Kraus as a brand manager.  Cathy resides in Minnesota and helps us manage distributor headquarter business.  In 2020, Mychelle Light-Martinez came on board to assume a new role within One Source as an Office Administrator & Sales Support team member.  

Most recently, Jack Mansel announced his retirement effective March 31, 2021.  Jen Lamb was hired in February to take over Jack's account responsibilities and will also be managing the Chicago market for OSS.

In August 2023, Jacquie Dalton joined One Source Sales, SE as a co-owner with Phil.  Jacquie brings 20+ years of experience to our team.

We are very proud of our humble beginnings and would not be where we are today without our vendor partners.  Our success is a direct result of the success of the brands we work with.
